It might be wise to note, as on the NCSU-UNC page, that the rivalry is primarily in the minds of the fans of ECU. Not sure where this would be appropriate, but NCSU considers their primary rival, according to the NCSU-UNC page, to be UNC. It might also be note worthy that the pranks of this rivalry are typically ECU to NCSU, and that there are no real external (grudge matches by newspapers, or what have you) evidences of this rivalry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.2.152.237 (talk) 00:05, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I concur--this rivalry is mostly in the minds of ECU fans. State fans, according the the NCSU-UNC page, think of UNC as their rival. I'm a native of NC and a Carolina fan, and I've never heard a State fan ever talk about ECU, while they rage against Carolina and (to a lesser extent), Duke. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.252.69.169 (talk) 20:49, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
