Netherland dwarf[edit]

I don't know why this page was redirected and then completely replaced by an article about a SPECIFIC breed of dwarf rabbit. restored this page as it deals with dwarf rabbits in general and the netherland dwarf is just one kind of dwarf breed. A rediect to that page was not correct.Gator(talk) 15:20, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Dwarf rabbit(s)[edit]

Does anyone else feel this article be better titled "Dwarf rabbit?" --Anthony5429 15:43, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, this page needs to be retitled and also needs major work to distinguish it from Netherland dwarf. --Krishva 18:49, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've just added it to page for requests to be moved (since using the Move tab doesn't work--Dwarf rabbit already exists as a redirect to this page). --Krishva 19:55, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

General fix up[edit]

This article refers to many things including the behaviour and cross breeding of dwarf breeds which could considered inaccurate. Reference to specific breeds and definition of all dwarf breeds may be useful.

I have been led to believe that the Dwarf Lop is in fact not a dwarf breed. The Miniature Lop (UK) or Holland Lop (USA) is. Discussion of Mini Rex, Netherland Dwarf should be included. Discussion of Polish rabbit (non dwarfed miniature rabbit) should be included for comparison.

May do this myself if time available.

Are there any other breeds to be included? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Blackcat478 (talkcontribs) 11:40, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cabbage and rabbits[edit]

The mention of cabbage as causing health problems for a limited number of rabbit species is incorrect. Cabbage should not be given to any rabbit species due to serious gastrointestinal problems in general. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.164.30.128 (talk) 02:14, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not clear why this article is needed[edit]

This article appears to be a mix of domestic rabbit material, Netherland dwarf rabbit material, and genetic dwarfism material - all of which have their own articles. It does not appear to comprehensibly cover either dwarfism in animals nor the Netherland dwarf breed (nor any other breed of small rabbit.)

I propose that 1) a section of animal dwarfism be added to the dwarfism article, 2) that mention of dwarfism vs other causes of microplasia be added to the domestic rabbit article, and 3) this article be deleted and 'dwarf rabbit' be disambiguated to allow directs to those two pages, plus the dwarf rabbit breeds.

I can do these things, but would prefer comments prior to jumping in and mucking around. (Plus I need to gather sources.)Kerani (talk) 00:26, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright Infringement[edit]

The Intro, Standard, Coat, and History sections contained word for word text that fell under the copyright of an outside website. I rewrote and expanded the intro, and simply deleted the other sections. This is because the material pertained exclusively to the Netherland Dwarf Rabbit, which is only one of several dwarf rabbit breeds.
