Dorothy Gibson's Bacon Number is 4, which has led some to suggest that the rule for the Kevin Bacon Game (also known as "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon"), should be shortened to allow only 4 degrees of separation between a given celebrity and Kevin Bacon, due to the era and limited length of Dorothy Gibson's Hollywood celebrity.

Dorothy Gibson and Alec B. Francis appeared in Saved From the Titanic.

Alec B. Francis and Harry Holman appeared in Oliver Twist.

Harry Holman and Frances Lee McCain appeared in Phantom Thunderbolt.

Frances Lee McCain and Kevin Bacon appeared in Footloose.
