Need second opinion on the Robin Williams youtube[edit]

I have put a link to the Robin Williams example of Donald Duck talk for the specific reason that it shows that even with the vast change in speech production needed to make this form of speech a person's distinctive voice can still be recognized--a bit like those that can write with their feet make the same distinctive signature as with their hands. That is scientifically important.

Unfortunately the example is a bit adult. I am not sure about its suitability for an article that might be read by children. On the other hand it is on youtube and many articles on wikipedia deal with adult subjects. However if it is deemed inappropriate it might need removing.--LittleHow (talk) 10:28, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Alternative to image[edit]

The image was removed because it was nonfree -- I am not sure whether this was necessary or just because it was thought inappropriate. What the article needs is not so much as an image but where an image would normally be a good recording of Donald Duck talk perhaps on the virtues of wikipedia or upon Clarence Nash use of their voice for Donald Duck. I cannot create one because I have speech problem.--LittleHow (talk) 07:37, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Doubts on the Method[edit]

While the method described in the article does produce a somewhat similar sound to the proper Donald Duck voice, I've always assumed a different method: One presses the tongue against the roof of the mouth to where the sides of the tongue create a seal against the molars, and the speaker relaxes one side of the tongue such that when they exhale, a raspy buzz is made. The amount of "lax" on the preferred side of the tongue as well as the strength of the airflow controls the pitch, while the shape of the mouth controls the vowel sound.
