Reduce commercialization[edit]

This page is heavily (pardon the pun) promoting a manufacturer of dimensioning devices. Additionally, there are currently pointers to five different dimensional weight calculators. Merge[edit]

I disagree with the proposed merge with Dimensioning etc - Dimensional weight is clearly the base concept, and the other two articles are about machinery and the process of measuring, sub-topics of the base topic - or, alternatively, stand-alone articles. Do not merge the pages. Dimensional Weight is a concept that can be applied with or without the use of Dimensioners. Dimensioners, more commonly known as Multiple Dimension Measuring Devices (MDMD), are machines used to measure the linear dimensions of the packages. In some cases, they also include scales to determine the package weight. Do not merge the pages. Dimensional weight is base concept that is specific to shipping. It is very clear and concise in its current form. If you merge it with the other pages it will only cause confusion and make it harder to find. Currently most people do not understand that dimensional weight is used in shipping and they think vendors are trying to rip them off when it's really shipping companies who are charging the additional fees. Merge Volumetric weight with Dimensional weight[edit]

Each one says the term is "also known as" the other one and I don't see any differences in the descriptions. Unlike the previous merge proposal (Dimensional weight/Dimensioning/Dimensioners), this is for two claimed synonymous terms, not a measurement vs processes of measuring it vs devices for doing so.
