If this is the same person as Dilip Sarkar (Tripura politician) then the articles should be merged under this title. If not, more distinguishing information needs to be added, and if they're equally notable then this should be moved and a disambiguation page should be created here. Oppose merge on the grounds that the most recent obit (2019) shows that these are different people. A disambiguation page seems unnecessarily cumbersome; hatnotes on each should be sufficient (given WP:ONEOTHER). Klbrain (talk) 16:49, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Klbrain:Ok, I'm withdrawing the merge proposal now that it's clear they're different people. Regarding ambiguity, WP:ONEOTHER applies if there's a primary topic. Is one of these clearly primary? If not then there should be a dab, even with just two entries. Nick Number (talk) 20:55, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Victim of a targeted assassination, alas, makes Dilip Sarkar more notable in my view, although I agree that they are otherwise similarly notable. That's why I suggest hatnotes rather than a dab for 2. Klbrain (talk) 21:36, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'll go with that. I added a hatnote here and removed the merge tag from Dilip Sarkar (Tripura politician). Nick Number (talk) 21:43, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
