Franklin's latest movie[edit]

Diane Franklin's latest movie is "Punchcard Player," a movie about a guy working six jobs at the same time.

A Punchcard Player is someone who works more than one job at the same time. This person, in a sense, plays the time clock, punching in and out of his or her jobs several times during the day.

cleanup[edit]

Alexandra De Laurentis, claiming to be Franklin/DeLaurentis[1]] changed the order in the lead from "American producer, fashion model and actress", putting actress first, producer last. As it stands, the article has no information on her work as a producer or model, so I see no problem with that much.

More to the point, this article is in bad shape, mostly due to the lack of sources.

Currently, we have a movie review for her first film. While it is a reliable source, it doesn't provide any meaningful info about Franklin. Next is the NYT/AMG film list. Again, this is a reliable source, but only to confirm the films, which we do not need a source for anyway.

Next is a bit of trivia on a role she auditioned for, but did not get, citing a DVD commentary by Elizabeth Berridge. Were this a meaningful piece of info, it would certainly be found in independent reliable sources.

Finally, we have publication info on an autobiography Franklin had published, cited to show it exists.

We do not need sources for credited roles in released films, other than in the rare instances where a film is lost. Both of the first two sources have no value. The trivia is minor, relative to the subject, so that's no help. Finally, the autobiography -- based on the assumption that it is authentic -- is not an independent source. Essentially, be have an unsourced biography of a living person, a major no-no.

Franklin is undoubtedly notable, as anyone my age will tell you, from her 80s credits alone. Deletion is not an option. I will, however, clear out the lousy sources and unsourced BLP details for starters (birthdate and location and such; I've already removed the kids' info, per WP:BLPPRIVACY).

Next we'll need independent reliable sources. I'll see what I can find. - SummerPhDv2.0 17:00, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yikes. First pass on sources turns up the simple fact that pretty much everyone on the planet is named "Diane Franklin". I know there is material out there, it's just a matter of weeding out all of the false positives. If anyone comes up with anything, have at it. Otherwise, I'll be back in a while when I feel like digging. - SummerPhDv2.0 17:28, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
