This article makes no sense[edit]

There were more people in Greece in 500BC than there are now? 86.93.208.34 (talk) 07:28, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Well that makes some sense considering the history. I am not necessarily defending the article but you have to understand Greece has been through some very rough times and many disasters across modern and medieval history. The Greek population, for example, dramatically decreased during the Turkish occupation, we still haven't recovered from that population decline 176.58.137.219 (talk) 18:50, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong information in the article[edit]

This article is not about the (Demographic history of Greece), the title is misleading, this article is a copy of Population of the Byzantine Empire. Is the subject of the article only the ethnic Greek population of these regions? Or all inhabitants of these areas? Why is Asia minor added? The numbers are also too high and very exaggerated.DragonTiger23 (talk) 08:38, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Of course Asia Minor,as well as other areas, are added. Greeks lived there. And, to clarify, the subject of the article is the ethnic Greek population within and outside of Greek rule. I personally have only written the modern part of the article(after Greek independence) and can assure you the numbers(at least the ones I wrote about)are not exaggerated 176.58.137.219 (talk) 18:54, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Candidate for deletion nomination[edit]

The article is written as a personal work. Yet, even a personal work needs sources and references; otherwise, it has no scientific merit. Unless the article is significantly improved, it could be proposed for deletion. -The Gnome (talk) 09:52, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
