Needs work[edit]

I split out commentary from the Plot summary and moved it to a new Reception section. That new section does not hang together. It will benefit from contemporary reviews. The Plot summary fails to name the victim and the killer. Both are needed. I have not read this novel, so I cannot fill them in right now. - - Prairieplant (talk) 03:57, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Need more reviews[edit]

Another editor made mention of reviews in 2 British newspapers in the lead section, but provided no quotes or citations to those reviews. The Observer and The Tatler are the newspapers. Reviews were in 1941 or 1942. Can anyone find those reviews, and add to the Reception section with full citations?

A New Zealand source is also mentioned in the lead, which may be taken from the biography cited in the lead. The lead is not intended as the only source in the article. It is intended to highlight the article. - - Prairieplant (talk) 04:14, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
