Aerospace Section[edit]

Put back in. Directly on target under Digital Dashboard. Most of the refs are to scientific topics, not Business topics. Lots of crossover between stock trading GUI's and Aerospace Glass Cockpits. Alternative would be to disambiguate between "Business Digital Dashboard" and "Scientific Digital Dashboard" and create separate pages. However Stock Trading would fall on BOTH sides equally. We would also excise all the "scientific" references from the "Business" page - that would leave it with just business graphics and how not to lie with statistics, etc. - pretty lightweight. Hence I think its best to live the the Aerospace section on this page for now. Rick 21:40, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dashboard prototyping and Excel tutorial[edit]

Hello Kuru, I don't know why you keep deleting links to such informational article on dashboards. Altough the article is hosted in a product site it is useful for people looking to build dashboards using Excel files. This article is also featured in www.dashboardinsight.com which is also allowed to put a link here. The article on the blog seems to be useful for prototyping.

For e.g the whitehouse gov link on dashboard page is totally irrelevant as it does not have anything to do with dashboards. I don't understand why this link is featured here.

DashboardInsight is tightly affiliated with Dundas software and it is allowed to put a link here.

Enterprise-dashboard.com is a blog and it is allowed to put a link here.

I just think the below links are informational and gives idea on building quick dashboards

Responded to your previous inquiry here. Please feel free to remove any other links which you do not feel comply with our external link guidelines. Thanks. Kuru talk 21:44, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Suggest adding Online Office‎. The reason is that a dashboard is a required component of any online office environment Sanjiv swarup (talk) 06:35, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think the See also section contains too many links to articles that are too general and aren't all that relevant, for example the links to "Diagram" and "Spreadsheet". This means that the more useful and relevant links get lost in a long list. Bmordue (talk) 15:09, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

dashboardzone[edit]

I see that

  • Dashboards Zone: A growing collection of Free KPIs and Dashboard examples

has re-appeared. A bunch of anon-IPs seem to be starting a revert war over it.

What do people think? Stay or go? If it's go, note it here and we'll know to kill it on site. Andy Dingley (talk) 19:01, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I find the resource useful for KPI and Dashboard examples. I would prefer to keep it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.107.248.220 (talk) 16:45, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll take that as a No then, seeing as you're the anon IP that keeps spamming the link back on. Andy Dingley (talk) 02:29, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you think it is spamming? It is a legitimate resource. How do you decide if other website like enterprise-dasboard and dashboard insight can have place links and not this one? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.101.102.199 (talk) 16:57, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Andy,
I am Mark and I was the one who initially added the Dashboard resource link but I did not realize why someone would keep deleting it so I undid it a few times. I don't know what you mean by anonymous IP. Do I need to register with wiki in order to submit a link? Again I would kindly request you to visit www.dashboardzone.com and see for yourself that it provides tremendous valuable information for Dashboard KPIs ,screenshots and tutorials.

Why do you think this is a spam?

It has over 800 KPIs and definitions that were compiled by collaborating with various colleagues and functional specialists and provides good tips on dashboard design examples, screenshots and tutorials. More information is being added regularly and all of it is free.

After you analyse the website and if you still feel that it cannot be placed here then I will stop bothering.

Thanks
Mark

dashboard insight[edit]

I had put in the discussion a comment asking why dashboardinsight was deleted, and it is related to the above question raised by dashboardzone. Why are articles linked from topnews acceptable, but sources of actual dashboards and news related and pruned specifically for dashboards, such as these websites, not allowed? I'm going to edit the page again and add dashboard insight back to the list, because I've yet to see an argument against these resources. I would also like to point out that the topnews site forces you to view an advertisement before you can even see the content.
