Factual accuracy[edit]

The factual accuracy of this article has been compromised as a result an editor making assumptions. Election symbols weren't allocated to parties until 1956. Prior to that all candidates were officially non-partisan. Even when political parties were recognised in 1956, only five parties (CPC, ITAK, LSSP, MEP & UNP) were recognised. Someone who cares about the integrity of Wikipedia should check the entirety of this article.--obi2canibetalk contr 20:56, 17 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • It would appear that the editor that included the election symbols on this article [1] was you, Obi2canibe... Given that election symbols, based on your comments, weren't introduced until 1956, then maybe the article should be modified to reflect that. Dan arndt (talk) 01:07, 19 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
