Dondo bit[edit]

I notice the bit about Dondo is included in the article, but I don't think it should be. This article is only about Funso, and its impact is split enough from Dondo. IMO, Dondo should have its own article, which would include the bit on the highway being destroyed. However, it is misleading to say there were 25 fatalities from the combined flooding (as the news articles have been saying). Dondo killed 9, and Funso killed 16. This article needs to be just about Funso and nothing else imo. The season article or a separate article could carry anything that was related to Dondo.Jason Rees (talk) 10:32, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The news articles are pointing out that the total flooding from Dondo, Funso and the monsoonal rains caused 25 fatalities, expected to rise. I have yet to see any source mention "16 fatalities" for Funso, only the 12 for Zambezia and 2 in another region. The ongoing flooding is to cover the flood situation in SE Africa that has been ongoing and worsened by Funso, which may either deserve its own article alongside Dondo and Funso or be merged into either article. ~AH1 (discuss!) 16:50, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, ReliefWeb clearly delineates between the deaths 16 in the north of Mozambique and the 9 in the southwest of the country. Dando affected the southwest portion, and Funso affected the northern portion. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 17:38, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Is the bit about Dando being the first cyclone to impact southern Mozambique since 1984 actually true? Our article shows that Favio made landfall in Inhambane in '07, unless the source was talking about extreme southern Mozambique. ~AH1 (discuss!) 02:54, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
