How much is too much?[edit]

How much Copper gluconate is too much?

Copper gluconate supplements typically deliver 2 mg copper per dose, one dose per day. As the copper gluconate molecule is 14% copper, this means 14.3 mg of copper gluconate. The U.S. recommended upper limit is 10 g/day for copper (European Union says 5 mg). To get to 5 would mean 36 mg copper gluconate. David notMD (talk) 23:54, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Bogus formula??[edit]

Shouldn't the formula for a copper compound have copper in it? According to the diagram shouldn't the formula be CuC12H22O14? Or something along those lines? Padillah 19:20, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Something was wrong with how the formula was displayed after the last edit so I reverted it for now. Also wouldn't a more correct formula be Cu(C6H11O7)2 ? --GalFisk 23:12, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
