Wikiproject Prisons[edit]

If anyone's interested, a new wikiproject has been proposed for the creation and improvement of articles regarding specific prisons, internment camps, and detention centers here.--Cdogsimmons (talk) 16:16, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not the Largest[edit]

Hey, A quick google search reveals that it's probably not true that Cook County in Chicago is bigger than the prisons in L.A. & New York City. This should be fact-checked & corrected if found to be false. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.83.53.76 (talk) 01:20, 7 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It may be the largest in area, rather than population. If so, the wording should be more specific to highlight in what attribute it is largest. I will do some research and edit if necessary, unless someone beats me to it. 173.75.117.35 (talk) 23:20, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It also may be the largest JAIL without being the largest PRISON. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.142.190.194 (talk) 21:06, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Tony Accardo[edit]

I notice that the article mentions that Tony Accardo was in Cook County Jail, however in Accardo: The Genuine Godfather , author and former FBI agent William Roemer makes it clear that Accardo never spent a night in jail. Which is correct? 173.75.117.35 (talk) 23:04, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

locations[edit]

why is there no mention of the different divisions/security levels and the 9 different locations?
