Broaden and rename article[edit]

Many iranians think the US was responcible for the Iranian Revolution. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Causes_of_the_Iranian_Revolution#Failures_and_successes_of_foriegn_forces

Does anyone object to a reation of an article Conspiracy theories about the Iranian Revolution, and adding this article as a section? --BoogaLouie (talk) 20:51, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is no strong need for an article of that name. Personally, I believe this page should be deleted. It reads, "There have been numerous allegations that the United Kingdom has supported mullahs in Iran...", but only a handful of (poor) sources are provided. William Richard Williamson is probably not the father[edit]

There are two main reasons why I believe Peters is wrong and William Richard Williamson was not Ruhollah Khomeini's British Father.

1- WRW was not a Shia as far as I know. He hung out in Kuwait with Sunni Arabs.

2- Someone, a filmmaker I believe, tracked down his children in Iraq and they were adamant that they were Williamson's only descendants and not related to the Ayatollah.

The identity of the real father is known to Western Intelligence services, I believe, and sources have hinted that he was in fact Welsh.
Although I have seen nothing in writing, this does not mean that someone, say a British researcher armed with the freedom of information act, could not dig something up. I was told by a journalist in Iran recently that the Khomeini museum in Tehran was shut down after his family and descendants objected to the false lineage and false anscestors that were being displayed there. --Wool Bridge (talk) 21:37, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Shah of Iran was a comprador client of the US. He oversaw Iran's secret police who tortured civilians. White revolution????

This is a very cleverly eclectic article. The Shah was a dictator. He did not represent a revolution for the people. As a matter of fact Khomeni and the Islamic revolution was a well crafted tool of Bush supporters in the CIA to actually weaken a people's revolution in Iran an to prevent communism from taking over after the Shah escaped. Beware of what you read on Wikipedia.
