Can we avoid repeating the month in December 25 to December 27, 1918?
The lead should be expanded so that it covers all aspects of the article

It may be helpful to add the time period of World War I

They came from most Albanian regions, which were under Italian occupation The comma is not needed, I think. I assume it does not mean they came mostly from Albanian regions.
A few subsections after the list would help navigation easier.
