The definition for uncanny valley is rather misleading. The term is used correctly but mentioning emotion here is out of the definition. It is indeed not only a failure to convey emotion (that would more likely a consequence), but rather the failure to fully reproduce human behavior. I'd suggest deleting the end of the sentence "the realm ..." and linking to the [Uncanny_valley] page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.163.186.20 (talk) 17:53, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

References?[edit]

This article has no refs and a number of items are really dated? I may begin clean up soon, but if anyone is watching, help will be appreciated. History2007 (talk) 08:20, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This page lacks structure and organization. Methods for generating animation data and methods for animating characters are confused. External links that are incredibly relevant are missing (some have been removed). They are necessary as some of the most significant innovations are now happening inside most startups. To mention a few FaceShift (using kinect), Mixamo (using GPU and a mixed model approach, first example of integration in a game engine), Image Metrics (able to run on a mobile device). I'm involved with Mixamo but i'm also a former Stanford University researcher and my academic history is the proof of my integrity and scientific rigor. Please let me know what you think about the updated version of the page i will submit today. Thanks.
