Rationale for article[edit]

Is there anything substantive in here that isn't already covered in Compiler? —Largo Plazo (talk) 03:28, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Late reply, but the article reads like the description of a Computer Science course ("theoretical part", "practical part", "students will...")- possibly that linked to by "Compiler Construction at the University of New England" (currently leads to a holding page). I'd suggest a redirect to Compiler. AndrewWTaylor (talk) 16:05, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, this article should be merged into Compiler. History of compiler construction deserves an article in its own right, perhaps with a different title. Paul Foxworthy (talk) 12:07, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Intro: What university students will do in a compiler course[edit]

It seems inconsistent to have that kind of information in an intro for something that is much more broad. Hagoth 00:01, 18 May 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hagoth (talkcontribs)
