Pacific Monthly article, 1905[edit]

I'm starting to transcribe a 4 page article from the Pacific Monthly. It has some good photos, a map, and maybe some useful info for this article. Link: wikisource:en:The Pacific Monthly/Volume 14/The Columbia River Jetty -Pete Forsyth (talk) 21:36, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Map[edit]

Maybe it would be good to SHOW the location of the bar? ("They generally consider 'the bar' to be the area between the north and south jetties and Sand Island" is sunk pretty deep in the article. (What I did there, see it?)) Seems like one could just say that "the bar" is simply the entire (modified) mouth of the river. For Ref, see: http://web.archive.org/web/20220829/critfc.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/DSCN4487.jpg . Also, the bathymetric contours need at least 1 index number (depth) on 1 contour line.
