The "Common Associations" section should either be expanded to discuss common associations in different cultures or just removed. The first paragraph in the main article states "There is great diversity in the use of colors and their associations between cultures" but the associations sections mainly lists associations as they exist in the USA and some other Western societies. This is not very useful given the context of the article, i.e. there are many different things associated with each colour and those associations vary between cultures. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.157.94.27 (talk) 00:34, 21 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This page consists almost entirely of personal opinion with poor sourcing. The "Bourn Creative" website used extensively lacks any substance, and is used to prop up spurious claims like "many children are fond of yellow". The structure is also bizarre, reading like a child's formulaic report as opposed to an in-depth assessment of hue and tone usage across history, and/or a straightforward catalogue and table of references.

To elaborate further, every single cited attribute of every single colour requires backing with instances of genuine usage in media - descriptions in books, political metaphors, famous paintings, folklore and common phrases. No other assertions should fly. 86.7.223.84 (talk) 22:49, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Someone seems to have messed with the section on purple, changing the tone of the section to be more mystical-sounding and adding “Aletheia”. Can someone better at writing than I revert it to a previous iteration? 2601:602:9600:5920:1128:760F:4DD6:4BB9 (talk) 01:00, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sources for Orange?[edit]

Hi everyone,

I've looked for reliable sources to cite in the Orange subsection, but all I could find was a paywalled Udemy course on Color Symbolism and the Meaning of Colors. Does anyone have any suggestions?
