Big 12?[edit]

  • Is there a particular reason that the Big Twelve conference is not listed among the list of NCAA Div-I conferences? Big twelve teams such as Texas A&M and University of Texas rank very highly on a national scale, so it seems odd that the conference wouldn't be listed. Supersonic Dude 03:28, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The listing is only for conferences that have men's soccer. The Big 12, along with the SEC and a few other conference, don't offer men's soccer, so they aren't included. --Scottmsg 03:44, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

But this article is titled "College soccer" not "Men's College soccer". Should we include women's info too? Wschart (talk) 01:13, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It should probably be changed. I think the best way would be to list all conferences for each division and note if they only offer men's soccer or women's soccer. --Scottmsg (talk) 18:16, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

New Clock Rule?[edit]

  • I just tuned into a college game on FSC and the clock is going up rather going down like it's been in the college game for years, is the NCAA compiling with FIFA rules so that the players have an easier transition into MLS/WPS or did they just change the rules for the clock? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.192.185.72 (talk) 00:48, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • There were no clock rule changes for the 2010 season. NCAA Rulebook (pdf) Rule 6.3.1 of the NCAA rulebook recommends that the clock count down, but counting up to 45 minutes is also acceptable. --Scottmsg (talk) 18:09, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

NCAA women's soccer[edit]

There needs to be a section on women's soccer in the NCAA as there is for the men.--Cúchullain t/c 13:32, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
