Photograph

The photograph shows female arousal, but I fail to see the erection of the clitoris. Perhaps someone could provide this to the article?

Also there is a staement about priapism-is this legitimately a problem with a clitoral erection? I'm not sure if this would create a "painful" situation versus that of a penile erection-is there some cite that could be done with this?--Read-write-services (talk) 04:20, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

I agree, Read-write-services. It is disappointing that this image is here when it clearly doesn't make much (if any) sense to the article as no clitoris is visible due to the labial folds concealing it. I too request proper imaging for this article (ie erect and non-erect clitoris). Citation of a documented case of female priapism would also be appreciated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.236.76.51 (talk) 16:18, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

-there is a great picture/link for a video, showing clitoral erection on the page for 'clitoris', it should really be put here. 98.238.206.77 (talk) 08:38, 16 November 2011 (UTC)

Why an example with no pubic hair? As an image of the female human body, this is unnatural. To suggest this is "normal" perpetuates a notion that a woman's genitals are unacceptable in a natural state. 24.19.201.58 (talk) 04:04, 19 March 2014 (UTC)

Needs More Information

I think the article should have a more in depth explanation of clitoral erection. Probably someone can put a diagram with pictures how exactly the process occurs like in the wikipedia article for Erection of the male penis. And a detailed explanation of it in the body of text.

I did find something important concerning clitoral erection. Namely, although the clitoris does become firmer and swells. Even when it is fully engorged and erected, it does not become as very rigidly firm like the penis(like the shaft becomes rock hard). The explanation for this I found by searching google and filter by books for "clitoral tumescence". Its in this textbook Women.s Sexual Function and Dyfunction:study, diagnosis , treatment.

the exact link to the paragraph in the book: https://books.google.com/books?id=T5P_5UwqYhoC&pg=PA176&dq=clitoral+tumescence&hl=en&sa=X&ei=jL0CVaLKO9baoASokoFo&ved=0CEAQ6AEwBg#v=onepage&q=clitoral%20tumescence&f=false

I tried putting the explanation in the article but someone deleted it. Maybe someone whos more articulate can take a look at the link and log in the info to the article.

Lastly, I found this video based on a research paper some scientists did. It shows the animation of the clitoris from its flaccid state to full erection.

Researcher159 (talk · contribs), I reverted your edit, and then restored it soon afterward with tweaks. Did you not see the restoration before you commented above? You've likely noticed, but you can find more on clitoral erection, with WP:Reliable sources, in the Clitoris article. I am thinking of WP:Merging the Clitoral erection article with that one. As for that YouTube video, we have WP:Non-free content to abide by. Also see WP:YouTube and Wikipedia:External links/Perennial websites#YouTube.
Also, remember to sign your username when discussing matters on Wikipedia talk pages. All you have to do to sign your username is simply type four tildes (~), like this: ~~~~. I signed your username for you above. Flyer22 (talk) 12:10, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

Sorry Flyer, I made judgements too quickly. In regards to your idea of merging the clitoral erection and clitoris article, I agree that users may be able to put clitoral erection into perspective more easily with the easier access of available information if they were on the same page. Whether you merge it or not, its all good I appreciate the tips.Researcher159 (talk) 14:58, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

The cover photo should be replaced because the picture used is a case of clitoromegaly. Sciencia58 (talk) 19:12, 6 February 2022 (UTC)

Clitoral Erectile Dysfunction
