This page has an improper name, it should be merged into Chromium(IV) oxide (chromium dioxide IS chromium(IV) oxide, not chromium(II) oxide)!! --Dirk Beetstra T C 23:06, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good point. I'll go ahead and merge. —Keenan Pepper 03:12, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wait![edit]

Don't merge quite yet. The formulas are different. --75.70.206.174 15:41, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Formation[edit]

According to the article on copper chromite chromate ions may be reduced to CrO by ammonium ions when (NH4)2Cu(CrO4)2 is heated. This, however, seems somewhat unlikely given the sensitive nature of CrO and should not be believed without confirmation. 150.227.15.253 (talk) 13:14, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
