Hu's name in simplified Chinese and Pinyin[edit]

Why are these two things given so much prominence? Hu is Taiwanese, and in Taiwan they use traditional characters. Also, the romanization is based on a more familiar (to English speakers) Wade-Giles-based system. Why is the Pinyin here -- he doesn't spell his name like that.
