Carburetion day[edit]

To be clear, there were two models with twin carbs, & one model had two Carters (one a 2613 WCFB, one a 2614 WCFB). I can't think of a clearer way to say it, so if anybody can... TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 21:50, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fiberglass[edit]

"The outer body was made out of then-revolutionary fiberglass material, selected in part because quotas, left over from the war." - Could someone research a source for this statement? It does not make sense in context. First, which war this was referring to? WWII was long over and the Korean War was not yet over. Second, this was going to be a very low production car and yet Chevrolet was literally making millions of their full size passenger cars so the amount of steel it was using would be relatively meaningless. There has to be a better reason than this. My guess would have more to do with the high tooling costs for the sheet metal dies and stamping machines as stated at the end of the previous paragraph moved from the main article. Real Glass?[edit]

"It featured a new body, a much better convertible top with power assist optional,[21] real glass roll up windows (also with optional power assist)," ....Did earlier Vettes not have glass door windows?Longinus876 (talk) 14:23, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Correct! The Corvette featured removable plastic side curtains as its "windows". CZmarlin (talk) 14:46, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
