Rewritten[edit]
I've rewritten the article to address the template that it is essay-like and has an unencyclopedic Intro. I have no opinion on whether it contains original research, and that template remains. Spike-from-NH (talk) 04:57, 19 January 2014 (UTC) PS — That is, I am not equipped for, as the template says, "verifying the claims made and adding inline citations." The existing citations establish the existence of the term but only one establishes the existence of the practice (in coaching).
PS--I've found a couple extra citations that show that the term is more than just an epithet; but citations that show that it figures into actual coaching or actual amateur leagues would be helpful. Spike-from-NH (talk) 18:47, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
