Untitled[edit]

This person's name was always Charles and not Frank

The author of the original article suggests that the music hall artist was born 'Frank Penrose Cawse' and that his birth was re-registered as 'Charles Penrose Dunbar Cawse' soon after his birth. In fact, there is no record of any birth of 'Frank Penrose Cawse' at all. The Register Office indexes only record the birth of 'Charles Penrose D(unbar) Cawse' in the December quarter of 1873.

I am therefore removing the references to 'Frank' from this article. I would ask that this only be changed back if the author can give good reason for asserting that this man's name was originally 'Frank', because it does not appear to be the case. Certainly, it would be unusual for the birth of a child to be re-registered in this way in any event. Professional Genealogist. Johnpretty010 (talk) 15:02, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
