Major overhaul/expansion[edit]
I have drafted a new and expanded version of the article. It should be visible in my sandbox. I'm pretty much done, except for proofreading and hopefully a look-over by some other people in WikiProject Physics. I tried incorporating some of the content from the current article, but since I was restructuring the entire article, I obviously couldn't keep everything.
