Deletion[edit]

How could this be deleted? It's going viral and it could be big... andy29 23:48, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It was featured on TV, it's hugely viral and I highly doubt it ever should be deleted. 86.41.134.181 20:35, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A bit late but voting no on deletion as well. Plenty of other viral videos on here as well. Not to mention this one is by a somewhat popular artist from South America. Fippy Darkpaw (talk) 22:28, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We don't need a bunch of educated people telling us how to handle our wikipedia. This one is for us, the not-so-educated. And, I wonder are they going to ask for citations. ridikilous. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.194.17.229 (talk) 14:45, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is the joke that this is how most R & B rap songs sound to a lot of people who just think the music is just spoken toneless jibberish with usually a 'borrowed' background tune over a slightly random sounding beat?

"Popular Flash loop"[edit]

Shouldn't it be replaced with the YTMND version? (which I would link here but YTMND URLS are blacklisted for some reason...)
The YTMND version was created first, the flash version is just a ripoff. --Caustic Armadillo 16:50, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

Who made this page say that the song was recorded in 1066 on a stone disc, and why wasn't this reverted within 36 hours of the vandalism? I recommend that this page be semi-protected (or deleted) to prevent vandalism of it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Starnestommy (talkcontribs) 03:28, 25 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Sports[edit]

How is this section relevant or useful? It would be more appropriately mentioned on the page for each of the athletes in question. If they don't have their own wikipage, then they're obviously not notable enough to be mentioning in this article. Vertigo Acid 03:14, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

it's not complete gibberish, there are english words in it, comes clear if you watch the subtitled version... however in the subtitles the words are not really spelled out correctly, e.g. "taim" instead of "time" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.245.98.214 (talk) 23:43, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like they all have Wiki pages now. Fippy Darkpaw (talk) 22:32, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article name[edit]

The opening sentence of this article suggests that the name of the page should in fact be Chacarron Macarron, and not "Macarron Chacarron" as is the current name. Are there any reasons this page should not be moved to reflect the (apparently) correct title? --PeruvianLlama(spit) 07:51, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I believe you're correct. I get 29,300 Google hits on "Macarron Chacarron," but "Chacarron Macarron" brings back 430,000 hits. --Tarantulas (talk) 15:31, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The reason why it's called Chacarron Macarron is because Party Cocaine makes no sense. Plus, he says Chacarron first, anyway. 98.235.159.187 (talk) 16:09, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nonsense?[edit]

At a spanish music television channel there was once a video of this song with subtitles. The subtitles were also pretty much nonsene, el chombo likes cock all the lyrics you can find at various ("all") websites, you could tell more from it. For instance, the lyrics were actually nonsene english, not nosense spanish (i.e. "chacarron" is pig english for "shake around"). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.171.128.237 (talk) 16:40, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chacarron is slang for "tubluar power", or cocaine. Just LOOK at him! Doesn't he look like he's on drugs? 98.235.159.187 (talk) 16:10, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I also disagree that the "lyrics consist of gibberish". There's clearly some English in there Jontajonta (talk) 22:19, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Which one is the original, and which one is the cover?[edit]

El Mudo - Chacarron Macarron

Soca Gang - Chacaron

Which one came first? Devil Master (talk) 17:11, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Woah. Never heard that before. Seems to be the original. "Lyrics" seem intelligible, among other things. According to YouTube, this song was released in 2005. This should be in the article, maybe? --Zebasz (talk) 05:17, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Chart Performance[edit]

Chart performance was wrong (this did not reach #1 in the UK singles chart) and duplicated information that was already in the article, so I deleted that section. 86.7.167.218 (talk) 23:36, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Association with Super Mario.[edit]

Another internet meme, but should it be mentioned about this song's connection with Super Mario? A looped clip of Mario headbanging (actually the first few frames of a 3D jump sequence) with this song in the background was the in-gag on viral "Stick Figures on Crack" films by Pivotmasterdx. It's been featured in numerous locations and hardly anyone knows the actual song title. Chacarron Macarron is mosly just called the Mario Headbanging Song or something along these lines. --MICHAELIPF5SUMANTalk 07:18, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've seen that headbanging video used for various Super Mario theme remixes. I think you need to show that it's especially associated with this song in order to include it. Chacarron Macorron is otherwise associated with "Batman on Drugs" and that two-legged horse animation. The two-legged horse is probably much older than the song though, not so sure about "Batman on Drugs" (talking about the short video, not the tv-show). The article really need some investigation and sources, but I don't have the time/motivation right now. Jiiimbooh (talk) 15:57, 7 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Appearance in Second Life[edit]

This song was featured, in part, on griefer (annoyance) boxes during 2007 and 2008. The footage that was used on these boxes is the Batman On Drugs clip LReyome254 (talk) 05:01, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Onomatopoeia[edit]

Could someone please explain to me why "nuh" is considered onomatopoeia in this instance? It is neither an English dictionary word, nor a word that reflects its meaning through the sound it makes when spoken. Perhaps someone needs to look up the meaning of the word... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.194.167.237 (talk) 08:02, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

krumm[edit]

Why is this listed under Spanish language songs when it is certified gibberish?

Song name?[edit]

Is the song actually have the word Macarron in the title? I looked at the album details on multiple websites and it is just called Chacarron. Jat490 (talk) 12:12, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
