Corporate governance category[edit]

The Corporate governance category is not appropriate for this article, there are more specific categories where this could go, but corporate governance is too broad a topic for an organization with specific, focused goals like Ceres. Removing from category. Vpoko 23:41, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to propose an updated introduction description for Ceres to replace what is currently there which is about 10 years old.

________________________

Ceres is a non-profit organization that shows investors and multinational corporations how to factor sustainability risks like climate change, water pollution and deforestation into what they do and how they invest.[3] Since 2003, its CEO and President is Mindy Lubber.

I'd like to propose the following new topic directly under the introduction paragraphs:

Not done for now: This reads like promo material. It is full of corporate WP:WEASEL. Please read WP:IMPARTIAL tone. Keep in mind WP:NOTPR. Melmann 07:51, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ceres Networks[edit]

The Ceres Investor Network, which includes more than 180 institutional investors managing more than $30 trillion in assets,[1] encourages clean energy investment and carbon reduction. [2]

The Ceres Company Network comprises 60+ companies who commit to achieving robust sustainability goals, improving resiliency in their operations and supply chains, and advancing market-based and equitable solutions to the world’s biggest sustainability challenges. [3]

The Ceres Policy Network comprises 65+ companies, including dozens of consumer brands and Fortune 500s, advocating for strong climate, clean energy and water policies at the state and federal levels. Following the election of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, Ceres helped launch and grow America Is All In into a network of 5,000 investors, companies, mayors, governors, college presidents and other leaders committed to U.S. action on climate change. [4]

The Ceres Nonprofit Network is made up of more than 100 nonprofit organizations committed to sustainability.

The Ceres Accelerator for Sustainable Capital Markets is a center within Ceres that aims to accelerate efforts in the capital markets to reduce the worst financial impacts of the global climate crisis and other sustainability threats. [5]

________________________

I'd like to ask to omit the section entitled ==Ceres principles== completely as that is no longer applicable to the organization.

I'd like to propose the following addition to the top under "Key Accomplishments"

  • Ceres released the Ceres Roadmap 2030, a 10-year action plan last year to help companies tackle the world’s most critical sustainability needs - to stabilize the climate, protect water and natural resources and build a just and inclusive economy—and thrive in the accelerated transition to a just, sustainable, net zero emissions future.[6]

Please let me know if I'm missing anything with these requested updates. I tried to follow the suggestions I received from user: WhoAteMyButter on how to propose these edits.
