Location of the Cave of Adullam[edit]

User:Huldra has raised the issue of old, perhaps antiquated, sources where the "Cave of Adullam" was located by travelers in or near Tuqu'. More recent travelers have opted to suggest that the cave is to be identified with caves that are found in the ruin "Eid el-Miah," said to be the biblical Adullam. What then should be our input in this article? Should we mention both sites as potential sites for this historic cave, even though the site of Tuqu' is now recognized by all historical geographers as being the biblical Tekoa, rather than Adullam?Davidbena (talk) 00:06, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

User:Davidbena I suggest we divide this article in three,
There should, indeed, be at least two sections added to this article: one, entitled "Biblical story"; the other, entitled "Identification." In the section entitled "Identification," there we can address both issues, namely, its scholarly and academic identification, and its former identification based on early drawings and sketches.Davidbena (talk) 03:11, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
