Legitimate name[edit]
Although this group has often been called the Cardueae, the name Cynareae was published almost a decade before. Cynareae therefore has precedence as the legitimate name for the group under the ICBN. --EncycloPetey (talk) 19:02, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
