Related merger proposal[edit]

I have proposed that Cardiff-Newport metropolitan area is merged into South East Wales. Both articles cover the same geographical area, which is the same as the Cardiff Capital Region. Please comment at Talk:South East Wales#Merger proposal. Verbcatcher (talk) 17:19, 3 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Though the Cardiff-Newport metropolitan area article could easily be deleted as this article covers the same thing- the Cardiff Capital Region is an actual statutory body. I would argue that Cardiff Capital Region is the presiding article out of these three, however there are justifications for both to exists. For instance, large cities will have an article for both the city itself, the local government area and their local council. Jonjonjohny (talk) 07:19, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
