Actually the practice of using streamers is European as well (Prussia or Austria-Hungary?). It may surprise people from the USA that the custom of using streamers was also preserved in the 20th century by none other than the USSR. 118.90.103.146 (talk) 03:49, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Combat Infantry and Expert Infantry Streamers & Combat and Expert Medical Unit Streamers[edit]

I know this is almost two years since the comment was made above, but I'll look at adding that particular info, maybe in a US Army only section/paragraph. I'll look around for info on the other services, but I don't know what unit award streamers they may have in that regard. It may be worth looking at separate sections, or paragraphs, for each service, or possibly grouping them by streamer policies to indicate which streamers are not used by the DoD as a whole. Also, under the Army section/paragraph I could include some trivia with regard to streamer/award display on unit colors and guidons, such as the display of relevant medals on the award streamer and the display of fourrageres on unit colors/guidons.Kintrix (talk) 13:22, 27 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's not what it sounds like[edit]

The ribbon for "African Slave Trade" should probably link to African Slave Trade Patrol instead of African Slave Trade. Otherwise the implication is a little misleading a lot. Asat (talk) 22:43, 18 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
