Proposed merge[edit]

Should this page be merged into the proposed Transport in Cambridge article as mention on the talk:Cambridge page? EricITOworld (talk) 16:32, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. It would certainly be appropriate to mention the scheme within the proposed Transport in Cambridge article, but I think this article has it own merits and should be retained - especially if it looks like it will actually be built! I suggest the details should be here with a summary in the other article. PeterEastern (talk) 17:51, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Opening date[edit]

It's strange. Previous media indicated the station was opening on the 21st May 2017 but National Rail says it's the 14th. A local news site suggests that it is the 22nd early in the morning. Anyone know which is correct? Difficultly north (talk) Simply south alt. 14:46, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Realtime trains shows services from 21st, and that is the date the new timetable starts. The National Rail page has apparently not been updated. --David Biddulph (talk) 14:59, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
But the DfT just tweeted and blogged that it opened today. So that's weird. Maybe "official opened" today, but actually opened earlier? -- Harry Wood (talk) 10:59, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Chesterton railway station[edit]

There is currently a separate article for the short-lived Chesterton railway station. As far as I can tell, this was on the same site (more or less) as Cambridge North, so should the new station be considered, in some way, a renamed revival of the original station and the Chesterton station article merged into this one?
