Explanation of name?[edit]

Why is this called the Burrowing Parrot? Is this the species that excavates nesting cavities in cliff faces? I only know of this species as a pet bird. --Kurt Shaped Box (talk) 19:45, 18 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Doesn't the Patagonian Conure dig nesting holes in cliffs?[edit]

Isn't that a characteristic and unique behavior of this parrot?

No mention of it in the article?
