This isn't the normal way of handling pictures, is it? I don't do much picture content editing, but I would think the preferred method is to find a usable (i.e. public domain or fair use) image and actually put it on the page, isn't it? Ellsworth 01:04, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Judge?[edit]

Promos for Jury Duty describe him as "Judge Bruce Cutler". I presume that such shows feel free to speak loosely: Judge Judy is features a former judge, sitting as arbitrator pursuant to a contract between parties, which they undertake to avoid e.g. the expense of both hiring lawyers -- and thus she's not so much "playing a judge on TV" as she is exercising binding authority very much like that of a judge, which is likely to be better understood by her viewers as (essentially) a "judge" than if they were given a technical description. So what abt Cutler? There's no mention of the phrase, which a better article would either confirm as a current or former judge, or describe as, say, "serving a role in an arbitration, comparable to that which a judge serves in a civil suit".
