Copyvio etc[edit]

Somebody claiming to be Brian Nelson keeps copy-pasting content straight from his school bio website. This is a violation of WP:COPYVIO and WP:COI and WP:PROMO. Not to mention the total removal of all sources, categories, etc.. I tried leaving a message on their talk page but they don't seem to have read it or don't care. Now they are using an IP account. Sigh. -- GreenC 22:07, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request edit[edit]

I’d be most grateful for help in updating and correcting the entry about me (Brian Nelson (literature professor)). (No new notes should be required.) MAJOR updates/corrections: (1) Add two important publications: The Cambridge Introduction to French Literature (2015) and Emile Zola: A Very Short Introduction (2020). (Add these to “Works”, and also replace Emile Zola: A Selective Analytical Bibliography with Emile Zola: A Very Short Introduction.) Also, add “Marcel Proust, Swann in Love (2017)” to the list of translations. (2) I am no longer editor of the Australian Journal of French Studies or President of AALITRA – therefore please delete the reference to the journal in the first sentence and delete the whole of the last (third) paragraph (“In addition to…”). MINOR corrections: (1) Last sentence of second para: change to “on topics such as “Paris and Modern Life” [delete ‘and “The Female Body”’], as well as translation studies.” (2) Change “About these translations, Nelson said” to “Speaking about his translation of The Belly of Paris, Nelson said:” and delete closing quotation marks at end of the indented quote; (3) Correct the title: Emile Zola: A Selective Analytical Bibliography (i.e. not Selective and Analytical…). (4) Naturalism in the European Novel is an edited collection and should be placed under “Editor”. (5) (Under “Translator”) The Earth should be Earth.

I'd be grateful for 3 small changes to the article about me: 1) Change "Nelson taught modern French literature and cultural studies on topics such as Paris and translation studies" TO "Nelson taught modern French literature and cultural history, and literary translation" 2) Change "(2002-?)" TO "(2002-20)" 3) Add under "Editor": After Blanchot: Literature, Philosophy, Criticism (2005) With thanks -- Brian Nelson Mackie1789 (talk) 06:10, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

 Done -- GreenC 16:34, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'd be grateful if some small updates could be made: 1) Change 'Works' to 'Selected Works' (since that is what they are). 2) Under 'Translator' add: Emile Zola, The Assommoir (Oxford, 2021). 3) Under 'Awards and honours' add: Officier dans l'Ordre des Palmes Academiques' (2021). Thank you. Brian Nelson Mackie1789 (talk) 23:10, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
