Purpose[edit]

Perhaps this staiton can be considered a special purpose station alongside IBM railway station, British Steel Redcar, Lympstone Commando railway station and Manchester United FC Halt?

Obviously it doesn't really fulfill the criteria based on the first three, but like MUFC's halt, only has trains call there on matchdays... so I think it is a contender for the role? Worley-d (talk) 17:16, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Worley-d you are incorrect, as it is a normal, street accessible station open to members of the public (the local community, not just users of those facilities). It doesn't have trains only on match days either. Just because it has a low frequency, doesn't mean that it's anything like IBM railway station, British Steel Redcar, Lympstone Commando railway station or Manchester United FC Halt. Martin H. Station locked?[edit]

Can anyone prove the station is actually locked on non-train days? As I'm sure I've been there when it hasn't been a Saturday and it has been unlocked. Martin H. Heron (talk) 18:14, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Difficult to "prove", but since most stations will be closed on days when there is no service, the statement seems to be unnecessary and I have removed it.--Shantavira|feed me 09:31, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Image request removed[edit]

I removed the image request as we have an image. If anyone thinks we need a more up-to-date one, message me and I'll nip down there are take a snap.--Shantavira|feed me 09:31, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Duddeston Viaduct[edit]

“Duddeston Viaduct“ redirects here, but the term does not make an appearance in the text. Either some mention should be made, or the redirect should be removed. Jim (talk) 05:05, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi JPH-FM (talk · contribs), I've edited the redirect to another page where some description is given of it. Hope that helps. Mattdaviesfsic (talk) 06:00, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! That’s helpful. Jim (talk) 19:47, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It really needs it's own article, it's a historical curiosity, and I'm surprised there isn't one already. G-13114 (talk) 20:53, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I mean, if you can prove it can pass WP:GNG with extensive sources, then sure. Mattdaviesfsic (talk) 04:05, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
