“Both incarnations”…?[edit]

In describing Johnson’s work on Mission: Impossible, the phrasing “on both incarnations of the Mission: Impossible television series” is confusing: the fact that the lead-in to the remark mentions both the Dan Briggs and Jim Phelps characters does not really warrant separating their seasons as different “incarnations” of the show - there only ever was one series, it just changed leads. It’s made truly confusing because the show did have what could be seen as two “incarnations” - the original seven CBS seasons, and the later two seasons on ABC - which were produced after Johnson’s death.
