Soundtrack[edit]

The soundtrack probably deserves an article to itself. Danceswithzerglings (talk) 03:03, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Warner Brothers[edit]

The PBS documentary "Warner Brothers: You Must Remember This" should be cited somewhere in the article. Terry Semel was the head of Warner Brothers, and was the person who gave Eastwood the approval to do "Bird." In the documentary, Semel says he told Eastwood that Bird would have a very small audience; Semel felt most of the general public was not interested in a feature film about the Jazz scene. Looking at the article, it seems Semel was correct; According to the figures cited in the article, the film cost from nine to fourteen million dollars, and receipts were only two million dollars. In the documentary, Semel says he told Eastwood to go ahead with the film, and "we'll (Warner Brothers) sell the heck out of it." 74.166.156.250 (talk) 21:49, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
