Other KISS members participation on "Beth"[edit]

Unless I'm completely mistaken, the only member of KISS that performed on the original recording of "Beth" was Peter Criss. The only additional vocals on the song are Criss', who obviously double-tracked certain parts of the melody. So I'd say it's safe to assume that no other member of the band performed on the track. That would be obvious except for the fact that the article states that Gene Simmons played bass on the track. So, are we to assume that Simmons played bass somewhere else - an alley, in his car, at McDonalds - and somehow that was included on the track. So, either the claim that Criss was the only band member in the studio is wrong or the claim that Simmons played bass on the track is wrong. 209.149.113.5 (talk) 14:20, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Peter Criss' departure[edit]

Peter Criss was not fired in 1980. He left the group voluntarily. NewPasha 19:54, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hard rock genre?[edit]

Granted, Kiss' music as a whole fits into the hard rock genre. However I suggest that such a designation be removed for this song. It is a ballad, and not a hard rock ballad. --SidP (talk) 15:42, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Beck to Beth - Who gets the credit?[edit]

In Peter's 2012 book "Makeup To Breakup: My Life In And Out Of Kiss" (and in an interview on Opie and Anthony promoting the book) he denies Gene Simmons all credit for changing the song name from Beck to Beth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Philr77 (talk • contribs) 20:29, 2 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Right. You know that if Gene Simmons had anything at all to do with this song, he would've been on the copyright, and he is not. I don't know where Paul Stanley comes off saying Peter Criss had nothing to do with this song, as he is the one who had it copywritten. Their hatred for him goes pretty deep, I assume (that is, if the writer of the article is right about the quote). Pookerella (talk) 05:01, 31 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
