Beren and Lúthien on the gravestone of the Tolkiens[edit]

On the gravestone for J.R.R. Tolkien and his wife, "Lúthien" is marked after his wife's name and "Beren" is marked after his name.

Should someone say anything about that? 174.119.113.31 (talk) 05:20, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No one has disputed this as far as I know. Dyolf87 (talk) 12:13, 26 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It is already mentioned in the article, with a reference to Carpenter's biography. -- Elphion (talk) 14:11, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The Tale of Beren and LúthienBeren and Lúthien – The current page title is not the correct title of this story, nor of the 2017 book. — Lawrence King (talk) 00:07, 29 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The book was never oficially called The Tale of Beren and Lúthien, anв now we have standalone boook, with wich this article is partially concerned, named Beren and Lúthien. Should we move the article to this redirect? Smeagol 17 (talk) 09:28, 28 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. This article is about all the versions of a story that has appeared under many titles: "The Tale of Tinúviel" (1917), "The Tale of Tinúviel" (1919-20), "The Lay of Leithian" (1925-31), portions of "The Quenta Noldorinwa" (1930), portions of "The Quenta Silmarillion" (1930s -- many revisions), the recommenced "Lay of Leithian" (1949-50), chapter 19 of the published Silmarillion entitled "Of Beren and Lúthien" (1977), and the recent book which contains excerpts of all these different versions entitled Beren and Lúthien (2017). None of these were entitled "The Tale of Beren and Lúthien"!! — Lawrence King (talk) 00:00, 29 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
