Notability[edit]

The link posted as a reference [1] does not describe the Bear Creek listed in this article. The USGS place name refers to a Bear Creek in Clayton County, Iowa (south of Allamakee County) that flows into the Volga River near Elkport. The article also states that the Allamakee County version of a Bear Creek is frequently unnamed. The article should either be changed to match the actual named Bear Creek, or deleted as a non-notable unnamed place.

Have to retract my comment on the unnamed part. The original USGS link reference was for the incorrect Bear Creek. Apparently, there are 39 place names like this in Iowa. Still not sure what makes this one particularly notable though. Will correct the reference in the article. Notability discussion still stands though.
