This makes no sense[edit]

The first paragraph says that Steinman is writing and composing the thing. The second says he's not involved. So which is it? -Kasreyn 12:04, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I changed the wording so it won't sound as confusing [1]. Эйрон Кинни (t) 23:16, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It is the latter. Steinman has refused to become involved and has actively opposed Meat Loaf using the trademark "Bat Out Of Hell" with regards to this album. This has led to Meat Loaf filing for dismissal of Steinman's trademark for the "Bat Out Of Hell" name. Copies of both Meat Loafs and Steinman's filings in this matter can be found at http://www.thenakedwire.com/media/ttabvue-92044495-CAN-12.pdf and http://www.thenakedwire.com/media/ttabvue-92044495-CAN-12.pdf respectively. - Whisperwolf 00:06, 31 March 2006 (GMT)

Capitalisation[edit]

The capitalisation used in this article doesn't match the articles about the previous two albums (Bat out of Hell and Bat out of Hell II: Back into Hell. I'm going to redirect it to Bat out of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose in the interests of continuity. --Marysunshine 17:39, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Radio 2 Interview August 06[edit]

Just added info about a recent interview on Radio 2 AppleRobin 11:58, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can you remember which show it was on and about what time? So I can try to catch the interview on 'listen again'. The JPStalk to me 12:57, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Steve Wright in the Afternoon, Fri 04 August, 1hr 25mins into the show AppleRobin 15:15, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent, cheers. The JPStalk to me 16:42, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks to whoever sorted out the radio 2 interview for me AppleRobin 19:54, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Dream Engine[edit]

Anon 69.226.234.83 has been adding loads of stuff. I've reformatted it, to save some of the useful info. The user, from San Jose, California, is obviously a Steinman fan (nothing wrong with that) and cites The Dream Engine and Steinman's blog. I've searched the site and can't find any source for some of the info about this album, or Steiman's blog. Perhaps someone could point me in the right direction? The JPStalk to me 16:45, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"It's all coming back to me now" official video link[edit]

[meatloaf.net] has a quicktime and windows media player link for the song "It's all coming back to me now.

quicktime - http://newmedia.10thst.com/meatloaf/allcomingback.mov wmv - http://newmedia.10thst.com/meatloaf/allcomingback.wmv

i don't know what anybody wants to do to the page, maybe an external link or something. ~~Patrick~~ 03:15, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Verifiability[edit]

I have reinstated reinstated {{fact}} per WP:VERIFY #3: "The obligation to provide a reputable source lies with the editors wishing to include the material, not on those seeking to remove it." Please cite your sources. Thanks. The JPStalk to me 23:04, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you have been following this whole conflict between Meat Loaf and Steinman, you would know that Steinman is the legal owner of the trademark Bat Out of Hell. It is common knowledge. Go search google for Trademark Jim Steinman "Bat out of hell" and you will see what I mean. Santorummm 23:09, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I have, but that's not the point, is it?!!? You and me might know a lot of things, but we have to conform to Wikipedia policy when writing here. Also, prose is preferred - that list you've just added wouldn't go down too well if this article was peer reviewed. It would certainly prevent it from reaching 'good article' status. The JPStalk to me 23:13, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Whatever, I added a link. You could always help out with these things too, rather than just putting a {{fact}} tag ;) thanks anyways, admin Santorummm 23:15, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for adding a reference. I'm rather unhappy at your "you could help out" comment: I've done a lot of work on this and related articles, including tidying up after, mostly anon, Steinman fans (for the record, I'm a Steinman fan too, and I detest that whole legal debacle has happened. I don't have any "agenda" other than to keep these articles tidy, referenced and WP:NPOV). The JPStalk to me 23:19, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I can certainly relate to you. I get rather unhappy when people do reverts on my changes without stating a clear reason; I spent the time to make the changes, so it is frustrating to have that work undone. This issue has been resolved fairly though. Thank you. Santorummm 23:23, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I apologise for not doing a manual revert and stating a reason. :) The JPStalk to me 23:27, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Third and last album[edit]

The new album, "Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster is Loose," will be the last album in the series, Meat Loaf said. http://today.reuters.com/news/articlenews.aspx?type=peopleNews&storyID=2006-10-31T202753Z_01_N27160927_RTRIDST_0_PEOPLE-MEATLOAF-DC.XML&WTmodLoc=EntNewsPeople_C1_%5BFeed%5D-3 DTE 12:50, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good article[edit]

This article reads well and meets all the GA criteria. Nice work! Johnfos 06:44, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yay! Thank you. This one took much longer than the others -- since it was released last year, really. It's been a battle to keep it NPOV. The JPStalk to me 07:29, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blind as a Bat[edit]

I notice that a version of Blind as a Bat appears, alongside Dead Ringer, as a single release on Spotify when this (and other articles) claim that it was pulled from release in favour of Cry Over Me. What's going on?--85.210.22.76 (talk) 21:59, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This 2007 listing contains significant uncited material, meaning it does not meet GA criterion 2b). ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 12:58, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Man, this is an old GA. This barely missed the cutoff for GA sweeps so many years ago. I don't think it would've survived then, and it wouldn't now. Not to mention there are literal copyright violations with lyrical passages included in the version I'm viewing right now. dannymusiceditor oops 01:32, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delist, as so much material that needs citations is lacking them. Some of the uncited parts may be personal opinions, e.g. "It is about the intense power over subordinates" and other commentary on the songs. Regards, BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 23:33, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
