Too much detail[edit]

This article is already lacking references. Further, the detail recently added, which I have reverted, seems to be excessive to the goal of an encyclopedia entry on the topic. An article on a video game should give a brief, broad overview of the game, to the extent that it is widely covered in the media and elsewhere. The attention to detail is appreciated, but it would be better served finding reliable third party sources for the information already there. Triona (talk) 05:49, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Moero!! Pro Yakyuu (燃えろ!!プロ野球) teams and rosters[edit]

The original Moero!! Pro Yakyuu (燃えろ!!プロ野球) was based on the Nippon Professional Baseball teams at the time in 1985-86. This becomes evident in the names of each of the teams: YGClub refers to the Yomiuri Giants, HTClub is the Hanshin Tigers, and so forth. Also note the name of the first baseman of HTClub: バース, which was used for the surname of the Tigers' first baseman Randy Bass.

Here are the conversion from the Japanese Moero!! Pro Yakyuu and U.S. Bases Loaded:

YGClub (Yomiuri Giants) <---> Philly

SLClub (Seibu Lions) <---> Kansas

HTClub (Hanshin Tigers) <---> Boston

HCClub (Hiroshima Toyo Carp) <---> N.Y.

YWClub (Yokohama Taiyo Whales) <---> Miami

CDClub (Chunichi Dragons) <---> D.C.

YSClub (Yakult Swallows) <---> Jersey

KBClub (Kintetsu Buffaloes) <---> Hawaii

HBClub (Hankyu Braves) <---> Utah

LOClub (Lotte Orions) <---> L.A.

NFClub (Nippon Ham Fighters) <---> Texas

NHClub (Nankai Hawks) <---> Omaha

Better Review Section and Sequel Section[edit]

The article really needs some work done on the review section. A lot of big publications praised Bases Loaded as being the greatest baseball video game ever when it was released, and many of the reviews of Bases Loaded II criticized it for not living up to its predecessor. Yet the only review in the review section is one that negatively compares it to a computer game.

The sequel section also needs a lot of work. The third game in the series, only released in Japan, isn't listed. Also there's no mention of the fact that Super Bases Loaded 1 & 2 were not released as Bases Loaded games in the Japan, but rather as standalone games and that Super Bases Loaded 3 was the only game considered a sequel there, or that Super Bases Loaded had its own sequel exclusive to Japan, Super Professional Baseball II. I might at least go back and fix the sequel section when I have more time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RobsPenName (talkcontribs) 10:17, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
