Fretwork[edit]

Fretwork is not an "orchestra" ... it is a "viol consort." Nor can the Baltimore Consort be considered a Baroque orchestra.

I see that Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado has been removed from the list of Baroque Orchestras. I wish that whoever did that would state their criteria for inclusion. If you want to limit it to groups that have CDs for sale on Amazon, or a certain level of annual budget, or their own page on Wikipedia, or reviews in Goldeberg or whereever - fine ... but please state the criteria.

Who is Terrence Holford?[edit]

Dear readers and Wikipedians, in this article a person called "Terrence Holford" is mentioned as one, who began to form orchestras playing on period-instruments. Unfortunately I did not succeed in finding out anything about this musician. Does anyone have citable sources concerning his work? I would very like to receive informations about that and anyone, who knows something, is invited to leave information at my discussion-page. So I say "thanks in advance" and Yrs. sincerely--Bockpeterteuto (talk) 20:12, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

German sources?[edit]

Hello @J850NK:, hello @KylieTastic:, I am sorry for asking this, but may also sources from Germany be helpful to improve this article and prevent it from being deleted? Greetings and thank you in advance--Bockpeterteuto (talk) 08:49, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Bockpeterteuto the article is not currently under any deletion process so I see no need to worry about that. It is only tagged that the current referencing needs improvement and an editor could decide to remove unreferenced content. However, Yes the German version appears to have a number of additional sources that could be helpful (although I haven't had the time to look deeper into them). If your question is not about sources from the German version but sources written in the German language then also yes, as all language sources are valid it's only that English versions are preferred when available. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:43, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • Hello @KylieTastic:, I agree, that for an English article sources in English language could be most helpful, but about some topics there exist only sources in other languages. It was just the question if I could add a source of any language, that fits. I will have look, if there could be something helpful. Thanks for your answer and Yrs. sincerely --Bockpeterteuto (talk) 21:37, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
