Why does a search on "Earl of Stafford" redirect to the barony? It's a different title and rank, created in 1394. --Michael K. Smith 17:02, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Assuming the article is correct the 2nd baron was created first earl (in 1351) so that's why the loop. Of course if there are multiple unconnected earldoms - then we will need to cover this.Alci12 23:38, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There is a problem with the potted history on the article page. When an attainder is reversed, it does not rehabilitate all those before the reversal who might have been barons. It passes over them as though they don't exist. The person who has been successful in overturning the attainder becomes the next numbered baron. No time to change today.
