YEAR OF BIRTH ESTABLISHED (1930); IGNORE FRENZY

Year of birth[edit]

Born in 1928, not 1930 per IMDb. More likely year of birth as she would have been 16 at the time of her first marriage. Will check Intelius. Rms125a@hotmail.com (talk) 20:40, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Update: Could not find anything useful in Intelius, who knows what name she's using having been married three times. I also checked 1930 census records at Ancestry.com site, which have two Barbara Lawrences in Oklahoma: one was a month old (1/12) and the other was one year and ten months old (1 10/12). The census was in April 1930, so the younger would have been born around March 1930, the other in February 1928. I recommend sticking with the 1928 YOB. According to Ancestry.com, Barbara Jo Lawrence (born 24 Feb 1927 [sic] in Carnegie, Oklahoma) died on 14 Apr 1997 in Peabody, Essex, Massachusetts.
The info includes the same glamorous photo as appears in her infobox, with references to her husbands, including the first one: John Forrest Fontaine (born 16 December 1926 in Detroit, Michigan USA) and "Other spouses (3)" as well as her
Parents: Morris Lawrence (1906-1987) and Bernice [née] Eaton (1909-).
So, does anyone know if she is still alive or if she relocated to the East Coast and died in 1997. Is this a humongous screwup??
Thanks for any input. Quis separabit? 01:13, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind. I sorted through the mess again. The misunderstanding is due to the fact that Lawrence was married to and divorced from Johnny Murphy long, long, ago (but she didn't take his name, as far as I know), thus the genesis of the mistaken belief she was the same Barbara J. Murphy who died in Massachusetts in 1997, and who happened to have the same date (not year) of birth. At least this is the best I can discern. The actress is still alive and most likely in California. Quis separabit? 00:23, 12 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Barbara Jo LawrenceBarbara Lawrence – This Barbara Lawrence was a notable actress, who has been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She seems more notable than Barbara Lawrence (zoologist). The actress Barbara Lawrence should take the primary topic and moved back to the Barbara Lawrence page and a hatnote can be used to point users to the zoologist.
