Taxobox cleanup?[edit]

@Awkwafaba: not sure about the need for any sort of taxobox on this page. It describes the disease, not the pathovar causing it. Any thoughts anyone? YorkshireExpat (talk) 18:17, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@YorkshireExpat: the taxobox describes Xanthomonas axonopodis and not Xanthomonas axonopodis pathovar malvacearum --awkwafaba (📥) 04:26, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Awkwafaba:, yeah, I get that, but should the article have a taxobox at all? YorkshireExpat (talk) 09:21, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, ignore this, it is a redirect. YorkshireExpat (talk) 09:37, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@YorkshireExpat: well, for disease-causing organisms, the disease name is the vernacular/common name. And there isn’t usually enough information about the organism outside it’s relationship with a host to justify a separate article on the disease and the organism. So we have one merged article like this. --awkwafaba (📥) 14:58, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
